About this deal

System is a fully integrated hands on stick and throttle flight controller that meets or exceeds the demands of the best flight simulator pilots. has given up the ghost, the thrust lever is only wobbling around like crazy (or better the signals this controller gives to the computer make the thrust go up and down the whole time) but what´s even worse: The pedals (when rotating the stick to the left or right) are also wobbling around like crazy, even when the joystick is fully centered - and this makes especially smaller planes almost unflyable, and ends many starts or landings in a bad way. Three mode settings and a pinkie switch provide enhanced programming options for even more control for all 7 axes, 3 HATs, mouse micro stick and 19 programmable buttons, with programmable tri-state LED colour for each button. I was skeptical of spending the original investment for this flight system, but after many hours "in flight", I found the X-52 to be a great addition to my simulator. Even more beneficial is the ability to directly manipulate radio stack information in FSX, X-Plane, Prepar3D, and most flight simulation software.

So I would give the X-52 HOTAS Professional a 7/10 and I would recommend it because it feels absolutely great when flying. Oh by the way, I have never used the Saitek Driver or sst programming software as to it being a pain in the posterior from past experience. You already have a profile created (if not, go and make a test one then), be sure to load it in the Logitech software. I was hoping that would work with MS Flight Sim when it launches next month but there's no way to install the plug-in without the software. Overall, I wanted to give Saitek another chance after my old stick years ago, but now I wish I had gone with CH products.I also tried out the X52 from a friend and would say it’s similar to the older X36 but has more functions. I don't ED on PC, but I now use a VPC Constellation Alpha with a T-50C throttle for my other sims and the software for those sort of feels like I need to be a programmer to get it just right.

Featuring an upgraded multifunction LCD which shows in-game data in real time, a progressive throttle with tension adjustment, plus an adjustable joystick with a self-centering mechanism.Coordinate your flight plan with clock and stopwatch function, plus an adjustable handle to accommodate a wide range of hand sizes.

Enhanced LCD display, with adjustable backlighting, gives you information about your button configurations at-a-glance, plus a new ability to view and interact with in-game radio stack information with the most popular flight simulator titles, like FSX, X-Plane, Prepar3D. Saitek’s X52 defines precise flight simulator operation, employing a multifunction LCD for easy access to your radio stack navigation in Microsoft’s Flight Simulator X. The main downside to them is they are fairly complicated to put together and set up, not recommended if you’re the type that just wants to take it out the box and plug it in.Customisable Rudder Control: The gaming flight stick comes with 3D twist rudder controls - with a choice of disabling the twist capabilities and confining input to X and Y axes. When I need for example 57% N2 with almost empty tanks and full flaps extended while landing there must be continuous 57% N1, and not the next second 67% one second later 70 the next second going down to 50 and so on, like my damaged MadCatz F. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. After that, ensure you have started both software, looking in the corner by the clock, you should have the controller logo there as i do (looking at image " Saitek unmarked.
