About this deal

The InfiRay T2 Pro Thermal Monocular is a handheld device that uses thermal imaging to see in the dark. Same as and he does seem a genuine guy and like his videos, the unit does look to have a quality picture and the features it has for the money is mind blowing.

InfiRay has T2 Thermal Camera for Smartphone for ultra-far night vision and P2 Thermal Camera for Smartphone with world's lightest weight. With thermal camera for smartphone, you can turn your cell phone into a thermal imaging camera to improve the insulation and efficiency of home heating and cooling, to find gas leaks, “see better at night” with no light, contactless temperature screening, screen for termites, find leaks, or diagnose medical issues. Don't know what else to say really, just trying to be honest about a product which is a first timer to me. With this mini design, this thermal camera makes it more convenient and lightweight to use and allows it to also use a cradle with grip (supplied). The resolution is good and works really well if you are looking for something to help you understand where your house may be losing heat, as I was.

The T2 comes with a clamp and grip and you carry the phone with the camera attached via a short cable (supplied). I have not (yet) fully adjusted to the T2 and found it difficult at times to map the image on my phone to the forest in front of me. So, a head’s up, if you are used to a monocular and thinking of taking a T2 on a trip I would start practicing before you arrive at your destination. I confess I was sceptical about what the image quality would look like, but it is way way better than my 2017 Pulsar scope.

With 256*192 resolution InfiRay high-definition sensitive sensor, night visibility up to 1500+ yards, can monitor 1579 yards’ deers. I asked Brian Keelan about his experience in Borneo with his new T2 and he was both reassuring and, obviously, a quicker learner than me. I have never found the zoom feature – on my pulsar or with this camera – particularly useful for mammalwatching in the forest at least, though given the range and quality of this camera it might be a different story when you are watching distant animals in savannah. At the lower end of our range, the HikMicro Linx is a small compact unit that fits in the palm of your hand. He reports that “the T3 has about twice as many pixels, each with about twice the area, compared to the T2, but I did not see any significant improvement in noise nor resolution. The better your problem and question is described, the easier it is for other InfiRay owners to provide you with a good answer.
