About this deal

On the front on the card is a picture of the item and instructions to draw it by finding it on the menu. For younger children, the ‘remote control’ mode allows kids to direct Artie using their mouse or the arrow keys to directly control Artie. Easy to learn and cool to create with, Artie 3000 also comes ready to draw with preprogrammed designs, shapes, and games. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. Start coding in minutes with the Remote Control function, included pre-programmed codes, easy-to-follow instruction guide, and built-in tutorials.

New Artie Max (Ages 8+) and the award-winning Artie 3000 (Ages 7+) bring STEM learning to life through creative drawing activities. With 360-degree movement – tell Artie to turn right or left, forward or backward or spin in any direction. With built-in local WiFi, a variety of coding apps, remote control, and even the ability to draw, Artie sounds pretty darn fun and it's got the STEM learning chops many parents are looking for. I doubt I’m the first parent who panics when confronted with a toy/learning resource that draws with pen!

Visit the blog to discover activities that will help keep kids learning and engaged through meaningful play.

Four modes of play: pre-programmed shapes, games, art for colouring and freeform coding, children will love coding Artie to “tell” the robot what to do! On the reverse are the instructions to code it yourself (dragging the items onto the screen and inputting the relevant numbers). Artie 3000 makes coding relatable and fun for kids and is perfect for beginners and advanced coders: Children can start coding with Artie’s simple setup and pre-programmed designs, and as they develop their knowledge, can choose to use more complex coding languages. Either way, we’ve discovered the coolest, drawing robot- Artie 3000 who makes children want to code. With Remote Control you can move Artie around the room just like a remote control toy (just make sure the pen is up or out as you don’t want lines all over the floor).Once connected, I then navigated to the link provided in the browser on my iPhone and followed the instructions on the included activity cards.

Suitable for Wide range of Abilities– I particularly loved how Artie can be enjoyed by such a range of abilities. However, as my results show, there is a bit of an accuracy issue (maybe I am doing something wrong), that affects the desired outcome. Syd was beyond proud of herself for mastering Artie 3000 all by herself – I took this photo to show her dad what she’d done!

Artie 3000 includes 4 washable markers (Artie is also compatible with any similar-sized marker pens), Quick Start Guide, and Activity Cards. The free family-friendly online resources include downloadable activity books for maths, science/STEM, language and reading support, animals and geography plus printable worksheets , activity sheets and play-based learning ideas to keep children busy indoors. He said it was much more likely Artie 3000 would be used to plant the seed of curiosity for coding in future generations. Artie 3000 does not require an internet connection however when connected and coding with Artie you cannot access other sites on the device you are using.

Use the software to easily drag and drop blocks of code into the command area, telling Artie 3000 to turn right or left, move forward or backward, and pick up or put down a pen. These are both great for helping children understand directional instructions and the basics of how Artie works. DISCLOSURE: We received this product for free for the purpose of writing an honest and impartial review.Artie 3000 is inherently designed to be one of the safest and most secure coding robots on the market. Artie 3000 never connects to the internet - it has built-in local WiFi and uses that to communicate with a screen device.
