About this deal

Hardin argues with her mom, Carol, about whether he's good for Tessa and how he always abandons her. When you love people, you don't let them destroy you along with themselves, you don't allow them to drag you through the mud.

As you may remember, Zed's been trying to get with Tessa since the beginning of time, but knowing he has a strong friendship with Tessa, Hardin puts that aside because he's desperate to help her however he can. En el aspecto de los personajes la autora mejora un poco conforme van pasando las entregas, porque en el primer libro básicamente hablaba sólo de Tessa y Hardin y en el tercero y cuarto profundiza muchísimo más en las historias de los personajes secundarios. He literally doesn't seem to have a single fond memory that has anything to do with her as a person or her interests. The After series is the epic love saga between flawed rebel bad boy student and editor Hardin Allen Scott and naïve good girl student and intern editor Theresa Lynn Young, Tessa. While we spent three books blaming the guy Hardin thought was his dad for messing him up with his alcoholism and abandonment, it’s actually his mum who deserves to bear the blame.I can without a doubt say that the After Series is one of the most pointless things I've ever read, yet I have no regrets about how addicted I was to it.

We’d also seen the light dim from Tessa’s eyes bit by bit; after fights and betrayals and other terrible occurrences. Hardin wakes up the next morning and Tessa tells him Vance told the police he had set the fire himself. She knows that this is a hard time for him but there’s no reason for him to react like this and it won’t help him solve his problems. I liked that before moving with Landon, Tessa made the effort to get her relationship with her mom on the right track. The book wasn't "I need to light myself on fire" levels of bad but I definitely won't be gathering around the fireplace with it.The characters were annoying, the plot was drawn out and repetitive, and the pace lagged so many times. I don’t mind the references that took place at the beginning of the series, but then it just became too much for me. Turn on the TV for background noise, grab a jar of peanut butter, and make yourself comfortable, because once you grab a hold of this series you'll be in for the long haul.

And Tessa FREAKS OUT about this book even though, for once, Hardin isn't saying ONLY crappy things about her. I could do without the eye rolling dialogue along the lines of “you are the only one who can save me”, “I can’t do this, but I can’t live without you” blah, blah, blah.Hardin uncovers the secret just hours before his mother's wedding, which he and Tessa travel to London to attend. Seriously Hardin, is it necessary for Tessa to go through a disaster for you to pull your act together?
